Cities in Canada that border Alaska?
we have decided that we want to live in British Columbia but we want to be close to a friend who is moving to Alaska. so we all decided that we will live on either side of the border and get nexus passes to visit each other. this will be going on in the next year or so. but anyway do you have any suggestions into what town in BC would be nice to raise a family in? we are used to small towns so population will be a big thing, the smaller the better.

There’s really nowhere convenient, the area around the BC/YT/AK border is very thinly populated.
In your case the best option could very well be Vancouver. At least from there you can get a relatively cheap flight to Anchorage, get you there in 3 hours.
The only road connection is the Alaska Highway, through Whitehorse. It’s a day’s drive from there to anywhere in Alaska, let alone a populated part of AK. There are ferries that operate up the coast, but again, slower and more expensive than the flight from Vancouver.
What few towns exist in that part of BC are not really great places to raise a family… They’re small, isolated, and the job situation is questionable at best. And, frankly, that part of BC has just about the crummiest climate of anywhere in the country.
